Alise Rancāne, born in 1995, is a Latvian contemporary music composer who has been actively engaged in a variety of acoustic and electroacoustic music projects. Her work encompasses composing music for chamber music ensembles, making electronic music scores, and exploring sound and space through various projects and sound installations. Additionally, she has collaborated with visual artists and composed music for theatre.

In 2021, she completed her master's degree in composition at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where she studied with Jānis Petraskēvičs. As part of the Erasmus program, she furthered her education by studying composition with Per Mårtensson and electroacoustic music with Mattias Petersson at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. She's currently enrolled in the Creative Music Technology program at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Alise Rancāne has continually expanded her expertise in sound spatialization through various masterclasses. In 2018, she took part in the NORD+MIX intensive course in Lithuania, during which she composed a piece for viola and electronics. In 2019, she created the composition "pax animi" for the Berlin Loudspeaker Orchestra. In 2021, she actively participated in masterclasses at Spatial Audio Week in Helsinki and Nordplus IMMEDIA in Vilnius.

Furthermore, Alise Rancāne actively engages in electronic music performance within various projects. She has a keen interest in real-time music programming and explores diverse methods for delivering electronic music performances.
